Social Worker – Family Safeguarding | West Sussex County Council Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex Rate: £38.00 per hour Contract: Full-Time Locum (Monday–Friday) Start Date: ASAP Working Pattern: Hybrid (Office & Home Working) SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team at West Sussex County Council. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive authority while making a real difference to vulnerable children and families. The Role You will undertake high-quality assessments, child protection investigations, care planning, and direct work with children, helping to safeguard young people and achieve positive long-term outcomes. During duty weeks, you'll be expected to work from the office, with flexibility to work from home at other times where service needs allow. Requirements * Social Work England registration. * Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience in permanent Local Authority Children's Services in England. * Recent frontline child protection and safeguarding experience. * Strong assessment and risk management skills. * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with travel across the western area of West Sussex required.
