Job Title: School Finance Officer Location: Enfield, North London Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary / Temp-to-Perm Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 16:00 PM Pay Rate: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Available from June 2026 About the Role Complete Classroom Services are currently seeking an experienced and motivated School Finance Officer to join a welcoming and successful school in the Enfield area. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring accurate financial administration and compliance with school procedures. Applicants must have previous experience working within a school environment and be confident using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom. Key Responsibilities Processing purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments. Raising and monitoring purchase requisitions and orders. Reconciling bank accounts, petty cash and school financial records. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures. Supporting budget monitoring and expenditure tracking. Assisting with monthly finance reports and financial reconciliations. Processing income received from parents, clubs, trips and school activities. Monitoring outstanding payments and following up on unpaid balances. Supporting payroll administration and staff expense claims where required. Liaising with suppliers, contractors, parents and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Maintaining confidential financial and pupil information in line with GDPR requirements. Assisting with audit preparation and financial compliance checks. Supporting procurement activities and obtaining quotations from suppliers. Maintaining accurate records within the school's finance and management information systems. School Administration Duties * Updating and maintaining pupil records using SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom. * Supporting admissions and enrolment processes. * Assisting with attendance and student data management. * Providing administrative support to senior leaders and office staff. * Responding to parent, staff and visitor enquiries in a professional manner. * Supporting school events and administrative projects when required. Candidate Requirements Essential * Previous experience working within a school finance or school administration role. * Experience using SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom. * Strong understanding of financial administration and accounting processes. * Excellent numerical, organisational and analytical skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. * Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. Desirable * Experience working within a primary, secondary or academy school setting. * Knowledge of school funding procedures and education finance. * Experience with school budgeting and financial reporting. * AAT qualification or equivalent finance-related qualification.
