Your specificareas of responsibility will be the drafting and negotiation offacility agreements and intercreditor agreements, supervising othermembers of the team, negotiating security documents and liaisingwith local counsel on multi-jurisdictional matters, ensuring asmooth process to transaction close.You will be encouraged to build client relationships with ourrelationship banks and key corporate clients and to have a desire tobuild on these and develop your own client network with support andguidance from the partners and wider team. Most of our associateswill go on a client secondment to further develop personal and firmrelationships and enhance their commercial skills.You would be working as part of a committed and inspired friendlyteam that enjoys its work and considers itself a leader in its fieldof practice. All members of the team have frequent client contact.You will be encouraged to use Harvey and other AI solutions inyour work and developing AI capabilities is an essential part ofthis role.Typical responsibilities include:Drafting of legal documents;Advising clients;Negotiating with counterparts and leading calls;Coordinating completion of transactions.In addition to strong technical skills, you should be able todemonstrate an enthusiasm for business development and stronginterpersonal skills as there will be significant client contact, inboth the work and business development context. You will be expectedto mentor junior members of the team, supervise trainees and workclosely with the wider Global Loans and Global Markets team. You willalso be expected to build your own cross-practice network within thefirm (for example, building relationships with teams in our otheroffices, Corporate Transactions and Restructuring and SpecialSituations teams).You would be expected to contribute to the firm's D&I andCorporate Responsibility initiatives, often organised with the firm'skey clients.This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office withhybrid working.More information can be found in the job description attached to therole on our careers site.About you:Associate/Senior Associate with:Strong general banking experience with a focus on corporate lendingExperience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentsin a private practice environmentAn adaptable ambitious person who is a fast learner, withexperience practising on multi-jurisdictional mattersA team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levelsClient facing experience and the ability to understand and respondeffectively to client needsExperience of negotiating with counterpartsA commercial approach#LI-HYBRID
