Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join one of our specialist education partners from September 2026 on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a unique opportunity to support young people in a hands-on learning environment where education extends far beyond the traditional classroom. Students take part in a range of vocational subjects and practical activities, providing an engaging and rewarding setting for support staff who enjoy a varied role.
Whether it's assisting learners in horticulture, animal care, construction, catering, land-based studies, or outdoor learning activities, no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in helping students develop confidence, independence, employability skills, and academic progress.
The successful candidate will have a patient, nurturing approach and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional learning needs. Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or Youth Worker would be advantageous, but not essential.
The role will involve:
Supporting students during practical and vocational lessons
Providing one-to-one and small group support
Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence
Assisting with academic and personal development goals
Working closely with teaching staff and wider support teamsThe ideal candidate will have:
A positive and proactive attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build strong relationships with young people
A flexible approach to supporting a range of learning needs
