Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant – Permanent Warrington up to £36,000 DOE We are recruiting for a permanent full-time Finance position supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy finance function for a leading manufacturing company in Warrington. This role will suit someone with previous finance experience who enjoys a varied position covering accounts payable, customer rebates, reconciliations, and month-end support. Key Responsibilities * Processing supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payment queries * Managing purchase ledger activities and maintaining supplier records * Supporting customer rebate administration and credit note processing * Assisting with month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations * Preparing schedules and supporting information for reporting and audits * Prepare weekly customer statement reconciliations. * Perform credit checks on new and existing customers * Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting ad-hoc finance tasks Skills & Experience * Previous experience in a finance, accounts payable, or assistant accountant role * AAT qualified or currently studying (or equivalent experience) * Experience with journals, reconciliations, and month-end processes * Good Excel and finance system/ERP knowledge * Confident in using Excel and Vlook Ups * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills For further information about this opportunity please call Maddie or Abbie at Forrest Recruitment for a confidential discussion – (phone number removed).
