They invest heavily in developing high‑performing, diverse teams and offer clear progression, strong technical training and a genuinely supportive environment.With ambitious growth plans and multiple offices across the region, the firm is expanding its payroll function and has created a new opportunity for a Senior Payroll Associate to join its Westminster team, with hybrid working available.Job requirementsIdeally CIPP qualified with 3-5 years UK payroll experience.Experience within an accountancy/bureau environment is highly desirable.Strong IT skills and able to pick up new software packages very quickly.Highly organised, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.Able to prioritise workload effectively and work in a flexible manner.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.A self-starter with a with a high level of resilience.Demonstrates a strong team spirit but also very effective working independently.A positive “can do” attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop.Job responsibilitiesProvide payroll services to portfolio of clients varying in size and complexityProcess payrolls on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis (or as directed)Process starters and leavers, calculating statutory payments, RTI submissions, pension deductions etc.Set up PAYE scheme with HMRC and cease schemes when neededAct as primary contact with HMRC for all PAYE related mattersCalculating auto enrolment pension deductions and ensuring complianceUploading pension contributions and starters to appropriate pension portalsBACS files submissionSubmit HMRC RTI information, FPS and EPS ensuring deadlines are metPreparation of P45s, P60s, Starter Declarations and other relevant forms as requiredLiaise directly with clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and answer phone queries, resolve problems and provide payroll supportCommunicate with clients, other staff, Directors and the HM Revenue & CustomsSupport clients in the day to day running of payroll systemsWhat the role can offerThe opportunity to work at a great location in the heart of London’s Covent GardenOpportunity to join a longstanding firm with a rich history and strong employee culture, that has recently merged with a top 35 accountancy practiceA competitive salary that is reviewed annually in JuneA supportive, work-hard, play-hard culture with an open plan hot desking office for all staff and senior leaders and frequent opportunities to socialise and undertake activities with colleagues35 hour working week with hybrid working options to encourage a healthy work-life balanceFull support towards progressing in a long-term career within the firm, with opportunities to specialise.
