Manchester / North West45,000-60,000 + PackageWe’re recruiting a Building Services Design Engineer for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester.This is a hands-on design role supporting commercial air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical projects from initial concept through to detailed design and project delivery.The RoleProduce mechanical and HVAC designs for commercial projectsCarry out heat loss / heat gain calculationsSize and select air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical plantProduce drawings, schematics and technical specificationsCoordinate designs with project managers, estimators and site teamsReview consultant drawings and client requirementsSupport technical submissions and equipment selectionsAssist with value engineering and design optimisationAttend design meetings and site surveys where requiredEnsure designs comply with relevant standards and regulationsThe CandidateExperience in Building Services, Mechanical or HVAC DesignStrong understanding of:Air conditioningVRF / VRVVentilationMechanical building servicesConfident producing technical drawings and calculationsExperience with AutoCAD and ideally RevitGood understanding of UK building regulations and industry standardsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsMechanical or Building Services qualification preferredPackage45,000-60,000 basicPensionCompany benefitsOngoing training and developmentStrong career progressionThe OpportunityThis is a strong opportunity for a Building Services Design Engineer who wants to work closely with both pre-construction and delivery teams, rather than being isolated in a purely consultancy environment.Long-term progression into Senior Design Engineer, Design Manager or Technical Manager.WR HVAC | M&E are the #1 recruitment partner for HVAC and M&E vacancies across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
