The schemes are large, central, and complex, and the gap between the drawing and the dig is measured in days, not months. Your design choices get tested in the ground quickly, which is exactly what makes the work satisfying for an engineer operating at associate or principal level.You are probably already an associate, or a senior who has outgrown the title.
