Finance Analyst
Location: Stockton-on-Tees

We're currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a busy finance team in Stockton-on-Tees.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with relevant experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll play an important role in supporting month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, working closely with internal teams to provide accurate and meaningful financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Complete month-end activities to support the production of monthly financial statements.
Prepare financial analyses and reports for management, providing clear insight into financial performance.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, expense forecasts and staffing forecasts for assigned areas of the business.
Produce regular statistical and financial reporting.
Analyse financial performance and provide explanations for variances against budget and forecast.
Carry out cost analysis and identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring further investigation.
Work closely with relevant departments to understand financial information and support effective decision-making.
Ensure financial information and reporting is accurate, timely and presented to a high standard.
Contribute to ongoing improvements within financial reporting and analysis.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong grounding in finance or accounting who is comfortable working with financial data, reporting and analysis.You'll ideally have:
A degree, college qualification or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related subject.
Intermediate-level professional experience within a relevant finance or accounting environment.
Experience of month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
The ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Good Excel and financial systems knowledge.
