Primary Teaching Assistant - Bury
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: After Easter 2026
Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full time | Term time only
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bury.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
The successful candidate must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have previous experience working within UK primary schools.
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
* Delivering small group interventions
* Providing 1:1 pupil support where required
* Supporting pupils with SEN needs
* Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
* Supporting positive behaviour management strategies
* Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
Essential requirements:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
* Previous UK primary school experience (essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Good understanding of safeguarding
* Strong communication skills
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
* SEN experience
* Phonics programme knowledge
* Behaviour support experience
