This workload is shared between members of the consultant teamDeliver an interpretative and advisory service for haematology based on laboratory results, which is available to the whole health community.Attend the monthly laboratory network meetings (minimum one consultant from each site required if clinical lead is not available).Out of hours laboratory cover for all 3 sites (UHCW, GEH and SWFT) will be provided by the on-call consultant haematologist according to the network on call rota.About usHere at George Eliot our vision to'excel at patient care' takes centre stage. Annual consultant appraisals will be carried out as part of the national revalidation process.The post holder will have access to secretarial support from a team of medical secretaries and administrative assistants. Along with radiology including MRI, CT and ultrasound service. The service also has access to pathology services. The balance between Direct Clinical Care (DCC) activities and Supporting Programmed Activities (SPA) will be agreed with the candidate as part of the initial job planning process.
