The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house at The Walmer Castle. This is a key leadership role at the heart of the pub you will set the service culture, develop your team and ensure every guest experience reflects the warmth and quality that defines Wren Pubs.
Key responsibilities
Set and protect the culture of the restaurant, ensuring every shift reflects Wren's warmth, standards and identity
Lead, motivate and develop a talented front-of-house team, with a focus on long-term retention and growth
Take full ownership of front-of-house budgets and weekly trading performance
Work closely with the Head Chef to champion the modern-British food ethos
Lead on recruitment, onboarding and succession planning
Act as a brand ambassador, building the pub's reputation and driving footfall
Champion staff wellbeing, development and retention
The ideal candidate will have
Substantial Restaurant Manager experience within a quality food-led pub, gastropub or restaurant
A strong knowledge of modern-British food and a genuine passion for wine, beer and spirits
Proven ability to lead teams with warmth, structure and commercial focus
Experience managing GP targets and labour costs - Restaurant Manager
The character to become a true figurehead of their local community
Availability across 48 hours per week including weekends
