Analyst/Associate, Real Estate Debt

GIC Real EstateThe Real Estate (RE) arm of GIC invests in real estate and real estate-related assets outside of Singapore. We manage a well-diversified portfolio covering over 40 countries in property sectors such as offices, retail, hotels, residential, industrial, niche sectors and companies.We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Real Estate team as Analyst / Associate in London – focusing on credit and hybrid investments across the capital structure.ResponsibilitiesAssist in analysing, structuring, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence, underwriting and legal documentationAssume primary role in financial modelling of transactions with assistance from deal leadAssist with preparation of Investment Committee papers for submission to senior investment staffWork with third party managers in the evaluation of eligible transactionsProvide assistance to senior team members in business development, relationship management and manager performance monitoringProvide assistance with the asset management and performance monitoring of existing loan positions and ensure timely and accurate reporting is submitted to control functions and senior management RequirementsA good university degree preferably in the area of finance, accounting or banking or a STEM subjectRelevant experience, preferably in real estate debt financing, debt capital markets, structured finance or corporate banking Good understanding of financial structures and ability to communicate complex, abstract and/or difficult messages in simple, clear mannerStrong financial modelling skills and meticulous with details and accurate with numbersGood ability to collaborate with managers in designing effective presentationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, with a knowledge Bloomberg being a desirable skillPossess an analytical mind and is a committed team playerIs results oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlinesWork at the Point of ImpactWe need to be forward-looking to attract the right people to help us become the Leading Global Long-term Investor.
