Senior Residential Care Worker Children and Young People Social, Emotional and Mental Health 4 Bed Residential Home Halifax Salary: NJC pt. 23-28 (£34,434 - £39,152) plus shift allowance Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, sleep-ins, and bank holidays) Job Details We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join our dedicated residential care team, supporting children and young people to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. At the heart of our residential care provision is a commitment to delivering outstanding care for children and young people. Guided by our trauma-informed PACE model, we focus on building trusting relationships that enable children and young people to feel safe, valued, and understood within our residential care homes. As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality residential care to children and young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. You will work directly with children and young people, supporting their emotional, social, and physical needs while promoting positive outcomes within a structured residential care setting. You will work closely with safeguarding partners and contribute to care planning, ensuring that all children and young people in our residential care services receive coordinated and effective support. You will also actively engage in training and development to strengthen your practice within residential care, continually improving outcomes for children and young people. About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience working in residential care with children and young people Holds a Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) Is committed to delivering high-quality residential care for children and young people Can build positive, professional relationships with children and young people and colleagues within a residential care setting Is organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing responsibilities within residential care Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to support across residential care services Is committed to ongoing professional development within residential care Join us in delivering exceptional residential care where children and young people are supported, empowered, and encouraged to thrive every day
