The role of the Design Engineer – Safety Equipment will involve:
· Senior Design Engineer position responsible for supporting and developing an established range of mechanical and electromechanical products.
· Leading sustaining engineering activities, product improvements and design modifications across the existing product portfolio.
· Producing engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, bills of materials, technical specifications and design documentation.
· Carrying out engineering calculations, product validation, testing and technical analysis to support product changes.
· Assisting with selected new product development projects from concept through to production where required.
· Supporting product testing, verification and validation activities.
· Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance across the engineering team.
The ideal applicant will be a Design Engineer – Safety Equipment with:
· Must have experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design.
· Must have experience using 3D CAD software.
· Ideally degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related engineering discipline.
· Experience producing engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and engineering principles.
· Experience supporting products through design changes, production support or product lifecycle improvements.
· Able to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing and quality functions. xwzovoh
· Experience within industrial, manufacturing or safety-related products would be advantageous.
