Manufacturing Manager

Position: Manufacturing Manager Proactive are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager to join an established and growing engineering and manufacturing business. As a Manufacturing Manager, you'll be responsible for leading manufacturing operations, developing people and processes, improving efficiency and ensuring production activities consistently meet customer, quality and commercial requirements. Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership and strategic direction across multiple manufacturing and production functions Take overall responsibility for manufacturing performance, productivity and operational efficiency Lead, develop and support departmental management teams to achieve business and production objectives Effectively manage labour, equipment and other resources to maximise production output Oversee production planning and ensure products are manufactured and delivered in line with customer requirements and agreed deadlines Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and cost Monitor key production metrics and use operational data to identify and implement improvements Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality, environmental, health and safety and regulatory requirements Support the introduction of new products, processes, equipment and tooling into production Work closely with engineering and commercial teams to ensure new and existing products can be manufactured effectively Lead and support operational improvement and capital investment projects where required Develop a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and high performance across the manufacturing function Maintain strong relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders to ensure manufacturing requirements are understood and delivered Work collaboratively with quality, engineering, production planning, sales and other business functions to support operational objectives Ensure departmental targets and KPIs are understood, monitored and achievedSkills: Minimum 10 years' experience within Engineering or Manufacturing Management Proven experience managing multiple manufacturing functions within a fast-paced production environment Strong leadership and people management experience Demonstrable experience of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning and resource management Experience managing production performance against KPIs and business objectives Good understanding of quality, health and safety and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment Experience with MS Office and ERP/business management systems Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively to deadlines Commercially aware with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational performanceHow to Apply: For more information on the role, or an informal discussion regarding opportunities we have available, please contact Victoria Pseftoudis on or call on +44 (0)(phone number removed) Why work with Proactive?
