Are you a Quality Manager looking for a fresh challenge? Or perhaps an experienced Quality Inspector ready to take the next step in your career?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to join their team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in precision engineering, machining and quality inspection who is ready to take ownership of quality standards across a busy engineering environment.
We're not necessarily looking for someone who has held the title of Quality Manager before. If you've got the technical knowledge, confidence and drive to take that next step, we'd love to hear from you!
What will you be doing?
Overseeing and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Carrying out hands-on inspection of precision-engineered components.
Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, gauges and CMM machines.
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and tolerances.
Managing quality processes, procedures and documentation.
Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Working closely with machinists, engineers and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Supporting continuous improvement and ensuring components meet customer specifications.
Maintaining and improving quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
What are we looking for?
Strong hands-on experience within precision engineering or machining.
Previous experience in quality inspection, quality engineering or quality management.
Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and inspection processes.
Confident using precision measuring equipment.
Knowledge of CNC machining, milling or turning would be highly advantageous.
Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Someone confident, approachable and comfortable working closely with the shop floor.
Previous management experience would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in experienced Quality Inspectors or Quality Engineers ready to progress!
What's on offer?
Salary up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Monday to Friday working week – 39 hours.
Permanent, full-time employment.
Excellent opportunity to take ownership of a quality department.
Genuine career development and progression opportunities.
A varied role combining hands-on inspection with quality management.
Join a well-established precision engineering business.
Supportive working environment with an experienced engineering team.
