Overview

Join a rapid application development team embedded in the Traded Risk Business. You will work with multi‑skilled software engineers, risk specialists, change and operational SMEs to design, deliver, support, and enhance technical solutions that support analytic, regulatory, and operational deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and support internally developed and connected applications and robust technical solutions together with technical and business users.
  • Conduct research into new solutions and prototype innovative ideas.
  • Analyse problems, provide expert diagnosis, and maximise collaboration and individual skill application.
  • Develop product specifications and accompanying testing plans.
  • Support change planning with project colleagues and ensure controlled change delivery.
  • Develop the capabilities of the team by providing specialised training in your area of expertise.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience developing applications, automation, and technical solutions in Python.
  • Broad development experience across multiple technologies, including SQL Server.
  • Working experience with DevOps and change tools, and familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile delivery methods.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a growth mindset, with the ability to learn and apply new skills, including AI approaches to solution development.
  • Experience delivering applications and technical solutions covering content in traded risk (market and/or counterparty risk).

Desired Skills

  • Deliver complex information simply and concisely to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted development and deployment (e.g., vibe coding) to build applications via AI using natural language.
