Job Title: General Maintenance Operative – Painting & Labouring Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Pay Rate: £12.71 to £13.00 per hour ((DOE) Job Type: Temporary Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours per week) About the Role We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Operative to join a busy team based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a hands-on role that will involve a variety of maintenance tasks including painting and general labouring duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is practical, versatile, and available to start immediately. Key Responsibilities General painting and decorating of internal and external areas Preparing surfaces prior to painting, including sanding, filling, and priming Carrying out general labouring tasks to support the maintenance team Assisting with site clearance, moving materials, and general upkeep of the premises Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe, and tidy at all times Following health and safety guidelines on site at all times Requirements Previous experience in a maintenance, painting, or labouring role Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude Own basic hand tools preferred What's on Offer £12.71 to £13.00 per hour (DOE) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm Weekly pay Ongoing temporary work How to Apply If you are interested in this role, please apply with your up-to-date CV or call us today on (phone number removed) to find out more
