Finance - BI Analyst

Hays are partnering with a rapidly growing, technology-led financial services organisation to appoint a Strategic Finance Associate. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance, Strategy and Commercial Performance, supporting senior leadership in a business that is scaling quickly and disrupting its sector through innovation, data and technology.
Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, business performance management and high-impact commercial projects. Lead financial planning, forecasting, scenario modelling and business planning activities.
Develop robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to analyse performance, identify opportunities and challenge assumptions.
Build business cases and support commercial and operational decision-making.
Deliver insight-driven reporting, dashboards and KPI frameworks that improve performance visibility and accountability.
Drive strategic projects from initial analysis through to recommendation and implementation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to automate processes and improve finance efficiency.
Prepare high-quality materials for executive committees and board-level audiences, translating complex data into clear commercial insights.

Commercial Finance within a high-growth or scaling business
Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management and project delivery capabilities.
Advanced Excel and presentation skills. Exposure to SQL, Tableau or Python would be advantageous.
