Fata Haulage Ltd is an established and professionally managed HGV haulage business, looking to appoint an experienced Transport co-ordinator to support our continued growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport professional to take a key role within the business, combining transport management, and business development.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our transport operation, while also identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing transport operations and ensuring Operator Licence compliance.
• Driver management, rotas, job allocation and vehicle scheduling.
• Resolving day-to-day operational and driver issues.
• Monitoring driver performance and maintaining effective communication.
• Developing new customers and commercial opportunities.
• Identifying contracts and tender opportunities.
• Building strong customer relationships and negotiating profitable rates.
• Maximising fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Working closely with the company owner on operational and commercial matters.

About You

A valid Transport Manager CPC for Road Haulage is advantageous but not essential. You are required to have solid HGV transport experience. We are looking for someone who is:

• Commercially minded, proactive and organised.
• Confident managing drivers and transport operations.
• Experienced in transport compliance and Operator Licence requirements.
• Confident dealing with customers and suppliers.
• Capable of identifying and securing new business.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledgeable in transport regulations, safety and industry best practice.

Existing industry contacts and a proven track record of winning new business would be highly advantageous.

Salary & PackageSalary: Negotiable, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
