We are working alongside a specialist SEN school seeking a dedicated Teacher to join their supportive and nurturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who thrives in smaller classroom settings and is passionate about supporting students with additional needs to reach their full potential.
The school supports pupils with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and moderate learning needs. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment where every student is encouraged to succeed both academically and personally.
The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students. The role involves supporting both educational and emotional development while helping pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons suited to pupils with additional needs
* Differentiate learning to meet EHCP outcomes and individual learning styles
* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
* Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback
* Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS preferred)
* Experience working within SEN, alternative provision, or mainstream settings with additional needs
* Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
* Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
* Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
