Associate Building Surveyor

A leading London property consultancy is recruiting an Associate Building Surveyor to join their landlord representation team. The focus is on licence to alter work, assisting with first fit-outs of major commercial buildings, and quasi-project managing the transition from development to operating asset. Average fees run from £100k to £250k per instruction. You'll work across high-quality London office buildings alongside property management teams and institutional landlords. This is a hands-on, client-facing role with genuine breadth. At Associate level there's meaningful crossover between teams, giving you exposure to TDD, dilaps and wider project work as well as your core licence to alter specialism. Duties of the Associate Building Surveyor to include: Managing licence to alter instructions for institutional landlords Overseeing first fit-outs of major commercial office buildings Quasi-project managing the handover from development to operating asset Reviewing tenant proposals and advising landlords on technical and commercial risk Liaising with property management teams on building standards and compliance Contributing to fee-earning across the wider landlord representation platformThe Person? A commercially aware Chartered Building Surveyor with experience in licence to alter or landlord-side project work on quality commercial assets. The Associate Building Surveyor will ideally have: MRICS qualification Experience with licence to alter or tenant fit-out oversight Exposure to commercial office buildings, ideally institutional-grade assets Strong client-facing and reporting skills Ability to manage instructions with minimal supervision In Return………?
