A welcoming and community-focused Church of England primary school in West Drayton is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SENDCo to join its leadership team on a permanent, part-time basis (3 days per week) from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND professional or aspiring leader looking to further develop their leadership skills within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead and enhance provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the school, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with senior leaders, staff, families, and external agencies, you will play a key role in shaping the school's inclusive practice and driving positive outcomes for SEND pupils.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop SEND provision across the school
Promote inclusive practice and high-quality adaptive teaching
Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils with SEND
Support and develop staff to meet the needs of all learners
Work closely with families, external agencies, and professionals
Ensure statutory SEND responsibilities are met effectively
Contribute strategically as a member of the wider leadership team
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
SENDCo qualification, or willingness to undertake the qualification
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for SEND pupils
