• Experience in highly regulated or complex environments such as public sector, education, healthcare, financial services, or similarly scaled organisations would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• We will lead a broad engineering function spanning Software Engineering, Integration Engineering, Data Engineering, and Platform Engineering.
• We will set the engineering direction, standards, and operating model across the function.
• We will ensure engineering quality, scalability, resilience, and long-term technical health.
• We will stay close to architecture, engineering decisions, and platform strategy.
• We will lead managers and senior engineers across multiple teams.
• We will help shape engineering culture and improve operational maturity.
• We will establish best-in-class engineering practices across a large-scale enterprise environment.
• We will contribute to modern cloud-native engineering initiatives across Azure, DevOps and CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, event-driven architecture, platform engineering, and automation and AI-enabled services.
