Evening Housekeeper | Private Residence | London | £50,000 - £55,000 | Live-Out Position: Evening Housekeeper Location: Central London, United Kingdom Compensation: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum Reports to: Head Housekeeper / Household Manager Contract: Permanent, full time, live out Schedule: Monday to Friday; 2:00pm–10:00pm when the principal is in residence and 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm when the principal is away; flexibility required at weekends and when guests are in residence on a rotational basis Overview is representing the search for a skilled, polished, and highly discreet Evening Housekeeper to join the team of a private UHNW family residence in London. This represents a wonderful opportunity for an experienced housekeeper to join an established and well-run household. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, managing the evening operation to the highest private household standards. This is a broad and varied role, combining front-of-house service with hands-on housekeeping duties, and requires someone who is calm, self-sufficient, and takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional work. Scope of Role 1) Evening Housekeeping & Residence Care Sole responsibility for the immaculate presentation and upkeep of the residence during evening hours High-level cleaning and maintenance of all rooms, including specialist care for fine furnishings, surfaces, and personal effects Conducting evening turn-down service to the principal's exact preferences Proactively managing supply levels and flagging any household needs to the Head Housekeeper 2) Front-of-House & Table Service Providing silver service and butler-standard service to the principal and any guests in residence Serving meals and refreshments with polish and discretion, adapting seamlessly to the principal's preferences and routines Ensuring all formal and informal dining areas are presented to an impeccable standard throughout the evening 3) Team & Household Communication Working closely with the Head Housekeeper and wider household team to ensure a smooth and seamless evening handover Communicating proactively regarding any maintenance issues, scheduling needs, or household matters Demonstrating flexibility and availability at weekends or outside standard hours when guests are in residence or circumstances require it Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in a private household setting, with the confidence to manage the evening operation independently Silver service and butler-standard hospitality skills, with experience serving at table and conducting turn-down service Strong housekeeping fundamentals: high-level cleaning, fine furnishing care, and meticulous attention to detail A warm, positive, and professional manner; someone who integrates well with an established team and takes pride in their work Discreet, trustworthy, and deeply respectful of the principal's privacy at all times Flexible and accommodating, willing to adapt hours to meet the needs of the household Verifiable professional references and a clean background check are essential Schedule & Availability This role operates on a schedule that adapts to the principal's movements, and candidates must be fully comfortable with this structure before applying.
