Electrical Shift Engineer Location: Canary Wharf, London Site: Critical Banking Contract Employer: Leading Facilities Management Company Salary: £50,000 (Inclusive of Shift Allowance) + Benefits Package Shift Pattern: Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights) The Role We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider on a prestigious critical banking contract based in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer looking to develop their career within a critical environment, working as part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining essential building services and ensuring operational resilience across a high-profile client site. Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and building services systems Operating within a critical environment, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability Fault finding and repair on electrical systems and associated plant Completing and managing permits to work, logbooks, and compliance documentation Supporting subcontractors and specialist service providers on site Monitoring plant performance and responding to building management system (BMS) alarms Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and site proceduresTypical Equipment Maintained LV electrical distribution systems Emergency lighting systems UPS systems Generators Lighting and small power Fire alarm systems AHUs and FCUs Pumps, motors, and associated plant Building Management Systems (BMS)RequirementsEssential City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Experience working within commercial building services environments Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
