Graduate Teaching Assistant - Romford Are you a recent graduate looking to start a career in education and make a genuine impact in a classroom every day? This is not a "sit at the back and observe" type of role-you'll be actively involved in school life from day one. You'll work closely with teachers, support students across a range of subjects, and help create a learning environment where every young person feels supported and able to succeed. About the Role As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key part in helping students access the curriculum and build confidence in their learning. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Supporting classroom teachers during lessons across different subjects Working with small groups of students to reinforce learning and boost progress Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils who need additional help, including those with SEN or EAL needs Helping to prepare learning materials and classroom resources Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, structured learning environment Building supportive relationships with students to help improve engagement and confidence Contributing to wider school life, including enrichment activities, clubs, or intervention sessions What the School is Looking For The school is open-minded and values personality just as much as experience.
