Healthy Homes Electrician Salary: £45,270 per annum Location: Head Office, Hemel Hempstead Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Permanent Help Keep Our Residents Safe and Well in Their Homes Are you a qualified electrician looking for a role where your skills make a genuine difference to people's lives? At Hightown Housing Association, we are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Healthy Homes Electrician to join our Asset Management team. In this rewarding role, you will help ensure that our homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained for the thousands of residents who rely on us. Working across our housing portfolio, you will undertake a variety of electrical works, from inspection and testing through to repairs, rewires and installations. You will play a key role in delivering our Healthy Homes objectives, ensuring residents can live in safe, comfortable homes while providing an excellent customer experience. What You Will Be Doing Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and electrical testing programmes. Diagnosing faults and completing electrical repairs across occupied and void properties. Completing full and partial rewires, electrical installations and upgrades. Installing and maintaining lighting, extractor fans, showers and other electrical equipment. Issuing electrical safety certificates and ensuring compliance with current regulations. PAT testing equipment and maintaining accurate records. Identifying electrical hazards and supporting the resolution of property safety issues. Working closely with colleagues, contractors and residents to deliver a high-quality service. Supporting the maintenance of Hightown House and operational bases when required. Taking a proactive approach to health and safety and ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation and standards.What We Are Looking For We are seeking someone who: Holds and maintains Qualified Supervisor status, such as City & Guilds 2395 or equivalent. Has experience inspecting and testing domestic and commercial electrical installations. Has experience working within maintenance, housing or building environments. Possesses strong knowledge of electrical installations, the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, building regulations and health and safety legislation. Can work independently and manage their workload effectively. Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills. Is committed to delivering a first-time fix wherever possible. Is willing to support and mentor apprentices and colleagues when required. Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle. Why Join Hightown?
