Accounts Assistant

Temporary Accounts Assistant Office based Hourly rate £16 - 17ph   We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking for an immediate start and the chance to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities within a fast-paced business environment.   Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will provide hands-on support across day-to-day finance operations while assisting with an ongoing business transformation project, including the implementation of a new ERP system.   Key Responsibilities Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions Invoice processing and account reconciliations Performing bank reconciliations Assisting with month-end accounting activities Posting journals and completing account reconciliations Supporting credit control and cash management processes Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis Providing general finance and administrative support to the finance team  About You To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment and be comfortable managing a variety of accounting tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.   Essential Requirements Previous experience within a finance, accounts assistant or junior accounting role Good understanding of accounting principles and routine finance processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong Excel and general IT skills  This role would suit candidates who are available immediately or at short notice and are looking for a hands-on finance position within a supportive and dynamic environment.   Apply today for immediate consideration
