Supply Teacher Job Title: Supply Teacher Contract: Supply / Temporary / Ad-hoc Hours: Full-time or Part-time Location: South/West Yorkshire Job Purpose We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable and committed Supply Teachers to join our schools on a flexible basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching across a range of classes, ensuring pupils continue to receive a positive and engaging learning experience in the absence of their usual teacher. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with provided lesson plans and the school's curriculum. * Maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. * Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently, following school policies and procedures. * Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils. * Monitor pupils' progress, understanding and engagement throughout lessons. * Complete appropriate classroom and lesson records where required. * Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils in accordance with school policies. * Work positively with teaching assistants, support staff and other members of the school team. * Follow school procedures relating to attendance, safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour. * Provide clear feedback to the regular class teacher regarding pupils' learning and behaviour where appropriate. * Be flexible and willing to teach across different year groups or subjects, depending on the school's requirements. Skills and Experience * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or appropriate teaching qualification. * Previous teaching experience within a school setting. * Strong classroom management and communication skills. * Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. * A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching. * Good organisation and time-management skills. * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. * Ability to work confidently and independently when required.
