We are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in Northampton, supporting students across Key Stage 3 & 4 with additional learning and behavioural needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people build confidence, resilience, independence, and essential life skills through engaging and personalised learning. Role Details Role: Secondary SEN Teacher Location: Northampton, NN1 2BG Contract: Temp to Perm / Long-term Hours: 8:30am – pm Setting: On-site, SEN & Alternative Provision Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs Support students with SEN, SEMH, and additional behavioural needs Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Promote communication, independence, and emotional development Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and wider school teams Encourage student engagement, progress, and wellbeing Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience or strong interest in SEN, SEMH, or Alternative Provision Understanding of KS1 and KS2 learning approaches within secondary settings Creative, patient, and compassionate teaching style Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills A valid driver's license and own motor vehicle are required to drive through school.
