Are you passionate about creating a positive employee experience and supporting people throughout their career journey? Our client is seeking a proactive and people-focused People Officer to join their Global Resources team! This is a temporary, full-time position offering remote working.
Contract Details
Duration: 3 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 34.5 hours per week (core hours 10am to 4pm)
Organisation Type: International Animal Charity
Pay Rate: £15 per hour
Location: Remote, with occasional visits to the London Bridge office
What You'll Do
As a People Officer, you'll support the delivery of an efficient and people-focused service across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
People Systems Support: Assist with the implementation of a new People system, including data uploads, testing, and resolving employee queries
Employee Lifecycle Support: Coordinate onboarding, process employee changes, and maintain accurate people records
People Advisory: Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures
People Administration: Support leave management, documentation, reporting, and day-to-day People operations
People Projects: Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives as required
What We're Looking For
Previous experience within a People, HR or People Operations role
Understanding of employment legislation and diversity, equity and inclusion principles
Experience managing confidential information and maintaining accurate employee records
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience using HRIS/People systems and Microsoft Office applications
Confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation
Charity sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
