Chef Manager - Empress State Building, Central London

£42,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday I 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm
We're looking for a strong, fast-paced Chef Manager to lead a high-profile operation at the Empress State Building in Central London. This role requires a confident, hands-on leader who can thrive in a demanding environment, build excellent client relationships, and consistently deliver high standards.
You'll take ownership of a busy, multi-service catering operation, delivering breakfast, lunch, hospitality, coffee shop, and retail, while leading and developing your team to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
Deliver consistently high-quality food and service standards
Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
Oversee all food preparation and ensure smooth, efficient service
Take full responsibility for kitchen operations, stock, and ordering
Drive standards in food safety, hygiene, and compliance (COSHH/Food Hygiene)
Manage, coach, and develop your team to ensure high performance
Maintain a well-organised, efficient, and positive kitchen culture
About You
Experienced Chef Manager or Head Chef used to high-pressure environments
A confident leader who thrives in fast-paced, demanding operations
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build credibility quickly
Highly organised with excellent communication skills
Hands-on, resilient, and solutions-focused
Passionate about delivering consistent, high-quality food
Desirable: NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent catering qualification
