NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and growing professional services organisation based in
Bradford
to recruit an experienced
Legal Cashier . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional who is looking to join a supportive business and take ownership of the day-to-day legal cashiering function. Reporting into the Directors, you will be responsible for managing client and office accounts, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will suit someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of financial control. Legal Cashier Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day legal cashiering function
Processing client and office account transactions using the Proclaim Accounts system
Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial documentation
Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Reconciling client and office accounts in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Processing invoices, payments, receipts, transfers and billing transactions
Producing financial reports for senior management
Liaising with external accountants regarding VAT submissions and financial reporting
Supporting the year-end accounting process by providing financial information and reconciliations
Assisting with credit control and general finance administration
Responding to finance queries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial controls and regulatory requirements
Legal Cashier Experience Required
To be successful in your application, you
must
have the following: Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a solicitors' practice
Proven experience using the Proclaim Accounts system
Excellent knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Experience managing both client and office accounts
Strong bank reconciliation and legal accounts experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
