About the role
My client is a well established manufacturing business located in Norfolk. A global leader within their sector, they are looking for a design engineer to join their existing team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual, a varied engineering role focusing on the development of new and existing products.
The role will involve;
* Prototype design and build
* 3D CAD
* Looking at existing products and processes to reduce cost
* Material analysis and cost reductions
* Looking at test results and reducing warranty failures
* Liaising with all departments to communicate findings and improvements
* Engineering projects to drive change and improve processes
* Identifying commercial opportunities for new products
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas;
* Time served experience of product design to manufacture
* Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
* Project management experience
* Continuous improvement knowledge
