Ocean Freight Operator (Import or Export) Wythenshawe, Manchester £30,000 – £39,000 + Bonus Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays About the Role We are working with a well-established and highly reputable freight forwarder in the Wythenshawe area who are looking to add an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to their growing team. You will be handling either import or export ocean freight shipments, managing the full operational process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for clients. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations (import or export) Book shipments with carriers and co-loaders Prepare and process all relevant shipping documentation Liaise with overseas agents, customers, and suppliers Track and monitor shipments, resolving any issues proactively Ensure compliance with customs and shipping regulations Provide high levels of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle Maintain accurate records and system updates What We’re Looking For Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding (import or export essential) Strong understanding of freight operations and documentation Confident communicator with good customer service skills Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Team player who can also work independently What’s on Offer Competitive salary up to £39,000 depending on experience Performance-related bonus scheme Friendly, supportive team environment Excellent staff retention – join a stable, long-term workplace Modern office setting in a great Manchester location 28 days holiday including bank holidays Why Apply?
