Fabric Engineer

Job Title: Fabric Technician Location: Shrewsbury (SY3 9DP) Salary: £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift: 1:00pm – 9:00pm (Afternoon/Evening Shift) Start Date: ASAP Fabric Technician – Healthcare Facility | Shrewsbury We are currently recruiting for a skilled Fabric Technician to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced professional looking to work in a stable, well-maintained environment. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs * General building maintenance including: * Carpentry repairs (doors, locks, fixtures) * Basic plumbing tasks (leaks, blockages, fittings) * Painting and decorating * Flooring and minor patch repairs * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations * Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports * Support other maintenance team members when required * Respond promptly to maintenance requests across the site Requirements * Proven experience as a Fabric Technician / Handyperson / Maintenance Operative * Strong all-round building maintenance knowledge * Experience working in commercial or healthcare environments (desirable) * Good understanding of health & safety practices * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £30,000 per year * Stable, full-time position with consistent hours * Supportive working environment within a reputable healthcare setting * Opportunity to develop skills within a professional maintenance team Working Hours * Monday to Friday * 1:00pm – 9:00pm shift Interview Process * Stage 1: Microsoft Teams interview * Stage 2: On-site visit
