Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:




  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the prison setting.



Conduct health assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.



Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.



Provide health education and promote healthy lifestyle choices among patients.



Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.



Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.



Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.



Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.



Adhere to all prison and healthcare policies, procedures, and guidelines.



Required Qualifications and Experience:




  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.



Relevant nursing qualifications as per role requirements.



Completion of NHS mandatory training.



Proven experience in general nursing, preferably within a secure or prison environment.



Desirable Skills:




  • Excellent clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure.



Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Commitment to continuous professional development.



Experience in managing complex patient cases.



Compliance Requirements:




  • Enhanced DBS check.



Occupational Health clearance.



Up-to-date immunisations as required by the role.
