About the Role
A well-established heating and plumbing company is looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Repair Engineer to join their team in the Abingdon area.
The role will focus primarily on domestic boiler servicing, landlord gas safety checks, fault finding and boiler repairs. You will need to be confident diagnosing faults, carrying out strip-down servicing and identifying the repair or maintenance work required.
Plumbing experience would be advantageous, particularly for dealing with minor leaks and basic plumbing repairs. Experience with boiler and central heating installations would also be beneficial, although the main focus will be servicing and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Domestic boiler servicing and maintenance
Landlord gas safety checks and certification
Fault finding and diagnosing issues with boilers and heating systems
Boiler repairs and remedial works
Strip-down boiler servicing
Identifying required maintenance and repair work
Diagnosing and repairing minor plumbing issues and leaks
Carrying out gas safety checks in line with current regulations
Completing job reports and relevant paperwork
Providing professional customer service
Working safely and maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer
Gas Safe registered
Relevant ACS qualifications
Strong domestic servicing and breakdown experience
Confident fault finding and boiler diagnostics
Experience carrying out boiler repairs and strip-down servicing
Experience completing landlord gas safety checks
Good customer service and communication skills
Full xwzovoh UK driving licence
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
