Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering & Utilities Location: Pontyclun, South Wales Salary: £40,000–£55,000 plus company car Contract: Permanent We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established civil engineering and utilities contractor based in Pontyclun. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering a range of infrastructure and utilities projects across South Wales. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from initial procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities * Commercially manage civil engineering and utilities projects * Prepare and submit applications for payment * Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts * Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow * Identify, price and manage variations * Prepare cost value reconciliations and monthly commercial reports * Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams * Manage contractual notices, compensation events and early warnings * Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with NEC contract requirements * Assist with the negotiation and agreement of final accounts Requirements * Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure * Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential * Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project variations * Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Strong communication and organisational skills * Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * Full UK driving licence Package * Salary of £40,000–£55,000, depending on experience * Company car * Permanent position * Career progression within a growing civil engineering contractor * Competitive benefits package To apply, please submit your CV for consideration
