Job Title: Elite 3E Developer

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Elite 3E Technical Developer to join a leading Legal organisation. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience developing, customising and supporting the Elite 3E platform within a professional services environment.

You’ll become a key technical specialist responsible for developing new functionality, maintaining existing solutions and delivering enhancements across a critical finance systems landscape.

Working alongside business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party vendors, you’ll play a pivotal role in the ongoing evolution of the firm’s Elite 3E environment.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for the Elite 3E platform.
• Develop, customise and enhance Elite 3E using the Elite 3E IDE.
• Build and maintain integrations between Elite 3E and other business‑critical systems.
• Support Elite 3E upgrades, releases and deployments.
• Write and optimise SQL scripts, stored procedures and database objects.
• Develop solutions using VB.NET and the .NET Framework where required.
• Provide 3rd Line technical support for Elite 3E and associated finance applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and database issues.
• Produce technical specifications and documentation.
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and key stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, stability and functionality.
• Participate in an on‑call support rota when required.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Commercial experience developing within Elite 3E.
• Strong knowledge of the Elite 3E IDE.
• Excellent understanding of Elite 3E database structures.
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced SQL scripting and Stored Procedures.
• VB.NET.
• .NET Framework.
• XML.
• XSLT.
• XPath.
• Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience developing integrations between business systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience producing technical documentation.
• Understanding of the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
