Café Assistant (Barista) - Garden Centre Café Location: Lawrence Weston, Bristol Pay: £13.92 per hour Hours: 15-20 hours per week (with occasional increases up to 24 hours) Shift Pattern: Approx. 6-hour shifts Contract: Part-time Weekend Work Required About the Role We are recruiting for a friendly and experienced Café Assistant/Barista to join a busy garden centre café in Lawrence Weston. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and has previous barista experience. As part of the café team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold drinks, assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness standards, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Preparing and serving coffees, teas, and speciality beverages Operating coffee machines and barista equipment Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner Assisting with food preparation and food service Handling cash and card payments Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café Following food safety and health & safety procedures Supporting colleagues during busy periodsRequirements Essential Previous Barista experience Strong customer service skills Ability to work as part of a team Reliable and punctual Availability to work weekendsDesirable Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (or higher) Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality settingWhat We Offer Competitive pay of £13.92 per hour Regular part-time hours Friendly working environment Opportunity to work within a popular garden centre caféInterested?
