Roasting Operative

Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with Lincoln & York, the largest private label coffee roaster in the UK. Family owned since 1994, they roast and pack around 10,500 tonnes of coffee a year from more than 40 origins, and their coffee ends up in some of the best known names on the high street.

Lincoln & York have invested heavily in their site and are growing. We are now looking for Roasting Operative to join them on the AM shift.
What you will be doing
Operate and monitor large roasting machinery, ensuring beans are roasted to the correct specifications.
Monitor roasting temperatures, timings and processes to maintain consistent product quality.
Carry out quality checks and ensure all products meet food safety and hygiene standards.
Keep the roasting area clean, safe and organised, following health and safety procedures and production schedules.
Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm
Reporting to: Shift Manager

What we are looking for
Experience operating production machinery within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production setting (desirable).
An understanding of production processes, quality checks and product specifications.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
