Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) – Multiple Positions Available
Start Date: September 2026
Now Education are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) School in Liverpool (L4) who are looking to recruit a number of dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly supportive specialist setting, helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The school caters for pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, and is seeking individuals who can build strong relationships, provide consistent support, and act as positive role models throughout the school day.
The Role:
* Providing classroom-based support to pupils with SEMH needs
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
* Encouraging engagement in learning and promoting positive behaviour strategies
* Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
* Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, confidence building, and social development
* Working alongside teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to provide effective support
* Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people is essential
* Experience within education, mentoring, youth work, coaching, residential care, or support work would be highly advantageous
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to establish positive boundaries and build meaningful relationships
* Confidence supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviours
* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
