A growing and well-established insurance business is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to support the CFO across financial reporting, controls and day-to-day finance operations. This is a broad role within a fast-paced environment, offering exposure across financial accounting, finance operations and ongoing finance systems improvements.
Your new role

• 
  
• Ownership of month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Preparation of management accounts and support with year-end audit requirements.

Management of insurer reconciliations, commission accounting and financial controls.

Supporting banking activities, supplier payments, payroll processes and wider finance operations.

Assisting with FCA reporting and group consolidation activities.

Supporting ongoing finance systems enhancements, data transfers and process improvements.

Working closely with senior stakeholders to improve reporting processes and operational efficiency What you'll need to succeed

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or an experienced finalist accountant.

Strong Financial Accountant, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant background.

Proven month-end ownership and balance sheet reconciliation experience.

Experience supporting audits and preparing management accounts.

Comfortable operating within a hands-on finance environment covering both reporting and finance operations.

NetSuite experience highly desirable.

Insurance experience beneficial but not essential. What you'll get in return
