Shipping Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW This growing Logistical expert in their field is looking for an experienced Shipping Manager to join a group of like minded hard workers to really make their name in the field! Please note that only candidates that have worked in white glove transport can be considered for this role. The Shipping Manager will oversee all international shipping-related jobs from start to finish, taking full ownership of the department and all associated operational workflow. The role also offers a genuine opportunity to shape, build and scale the shipping department as the business continues to grow. We are specifically looking for someone who can bring ideas, initiative and operational improvements to the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage all export and import shipments end-to-end • Coordinate international freight movements by air, sea and road • Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, freight partners and overseas agents • Prepare international shipping quotations • Obtain and manage freight rates from suppliers and agents • Build accurate operational costings • Support pricing strategy and margin control • Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams • Manage shipping workflow within Salesforce • Help improve systems, workflow and operational structure This is a key operational management role within the company and we are looking for someone who: has strong international shipping experience - ideally within the industry  can manage workflow independently is commercially and operationally minded can quote and cost jobs can bring ideas and improvements to the business wants the opportunity to build and grow their own department over timeWe look forward to receiving your CV in relation to the role
