About the role

Later Living Community Manager (Part Time)

17.5 hours per week (Working days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday)

Help create a place residents are proud to call home.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to live independently and thrive within their community? We're looking for a compassionate, proactive and experienced Community Manager to play a vital role in delivering an outstanding service to residents in one of our older persons' housing schemes.

This is far more than a housing role. You'll be the friendly face residents trust, ensuring they feel safe, supported and connected while maintaining a welcoming, well-managed environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing practical support and guidance to residents, helping resolve issues and access the right services.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, colleagues, health and social care partners, and local agencies.
  • Identifying safeguarding concerns and managing risks appropriately.
  • Monitoring repairs, maintenance, health and safety requirements, and contractor performance.
  • Promoting resident engagement and wellbeing through activities and community initiatives.
  • Ensuring the scheme remains safe, compliant, clean and feels like a home, not an institution.
  • Maintaining accurate records and case management information.
  • Supporting and supervising on-site staff where required.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in housing management and working within a residential, supported housing or older people services environment.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults and an understanding of health and social care issues.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessments, health and safety, and repairs reporting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Please note, an enhanced basic DBS check is required for this role

Interview Dates: First stage interviews will take place via Teams on Thursday 12th November

Second stage interviews will take place in person in Oxford during the week commencing 16th November
