Payroll Specialist / Bookkeeper - Practice

PAYROLL / BOOKKEEPER - Practice Cannock | £28,000 – £32,000 DOE WHY THIS ROLE? Do you enjoy payroll but want more variety in your working day? This is a genuinely varied position combining payroll, bookkeeping and client contact. You will have responsibility for your own work, build relationships with the clients you support and become an important part of the wider team. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? • Processing weekly and monthly client payrolls • Managing starters, leavers and payroll changes • Supporting with statutory payments and pension requirements • Completing bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients • Carrying out bank and account reconciliations • Preparing and submitting VAT returns • Working with cloud accounting and payroll software • Speaking directly with clients and answering queries • Managing deadlines across multiple clients • Supporting the wider accounts team when required WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? You will have previous payroll and/or bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail and the confidence to manage multiple deadlines. Experience within an accountancy practice would be highly beneficial, particularly if you have worked across a portfolio of different clients.
