  • Collect and report environmental performance data
  • Review environmental information and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental and sustainability initiatives
  • Provide advice and support to project teams on environmental matters
  • Help identify significant environmental risks and ensure effective controls are implemented
  • Support the management of environmental and ecological permits, licences, and consents
  • Maintain environmental records and documentation to demonstrate compliance
  • Liaise with environmental specialists, ecologists, and external consultants
  • Support the wider environmental and sustainability function by sharing best practice

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in an Environmental Advisor role within construction, infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects
  • Working knowledge of environmental legislation and its application within the construction industry
  • Experience or understanding of:
  • Ecological mitigation
  • Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
  • Water management and pollution prevention
  • Waste management
  • Statutory nuisance
  • Contaminated land
  • Consents, licensing, and DCO/TCPA planning discharge processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management systems
  • Associate ISEP membership (or working towards Practitioner membership) desirable
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge site activities where necessary
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
